Erin Doheny-True is a commercial insurance professional and has worked for True & Associates for the last 15 years of her 21 year insurance career. Erin is the current Vice President at True & Associates and the wife of President Thomas True. Erin started her career in commercial insurance in New York, subsequently moving to New Jersey in 1994.
Erin attended Rutgers University on a partial academic and athletic scholarship, with a concentration in Business Management, while playing for the Rutgers softball team. She has experience in working with national and international accounts on both the agency and carrier side, with a focus in the construction industry. Her dedication is what sets her apart from industry competition.
During her time at Rutgers, Erin became involved with philanthropy and found it rewarding to serve the community. She served at St. John’s Soup Kitchen in Newark, NJ on various holidays (1990-1992 and 1996-1999), in addition to helping with food and clothing drives for the Sisters of Christian Charity (1997-2000). Erin is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Hunterdon County Ducks Unlimited chapter, dedicated to fundraising for the preservation of wetlands, and she ran their annual fundraising dinner from 2006-2010.
Erin and her husband Tom were blessed with the birth of their daughter Rylie Eileen in 2009. Upon Rylie’s starting in the toddler program at Acorn Montessori School in 2010, Erin immersed herself in the school community by assisting the programs that give back to the community, such as “Grow a Row”, in addition to co-chairing the Art Program for the school’s annual fundraising Gala (2010-2014).
Additional personal interests of Erin’s are skiing, horseback riding, scuba diving, zumba fitness, and spending quality time with her daughter and family, along with travel.
